Get Involved

You want to get involved?

OK, so you clicked the button to see what is here.

Firstly, congratulations, you have taken the first step to a potentially life changing decision. If not for you, for many young people that Scouting supports.
There are three simple ways you can support us:

There are a number of options here. You can become a Leader and help run Scouting activities with the young people. You get to go camping, learn new skills and learn a lot about yourself.

The other option is to join the back room team. Like any good organisation, they are always under pinned by an excellent group of back office people. In Scouting we call this the “Executive Committee”.

Don’t let the hustle and bustle of a Scout meeting put you off. We are friendly people and the rewards are unbelievable. Click here and send an email to us and ask about how YOU can help.

Make a Donation

donation_boxScouting is 100% self funding. Everything you see Scouts do and use, has been paid for with money raised by Scouts. That’s from replacing a broken tent-peg, to keeping a Mini Bus safe and reliable. That is a lot of hard work. If you are able to support us with a donation (no matter how small), it will go towards an enjoyable moment for a young person.

We currently cannot take donation electronically, so please click here and send an email to us and ask about making a donation.

Leave a Legacy

Scouting for tomorrow, do one more good turn and help us bring adventure to the lives of young people. Scouting helps broaden minds and builds bridges within communities. We believe in young people at a time when many are portrayed as inactive and anti-social.

Scouting needs your help. After you’ve remembered your loved ones, perhaps you will remember us in your will. Leaving a gift to South Derbyshire Scout District, however large or small, is easy to do and it can change the lives of young people in South Derbyshire.

Click here and send an email to us and ask about leaving a legacy.
